If you’ve never made banana ice cream (or “nicecream”) before, it’s a plant-based frozen dessert made entirely out of frozen blended bananas! I love a good chocolate chip version as my default, but there are endless ways to play around with the flavors…Try out any topping or mix-in that you love (instead of, or in addition to, the chocolate chips). Here are a few ideas:
OTHER TOPPINGS:
Sprinkles, M&M’s, Whipped Cream, Chocolate Syrup or Melted Chocolate, Crushed Peanuts, Crushed Cookies
MIX-IN POSSIBILITIES:
Peanut Butter, Sunflower Seed Butter, Coconut Cream, Vanilla Extract, Dutch-process Cocoa Powder, Strawberries
Because of the minimal ingredients, this sweet snack is naturally very allergen-friendly! The base is, of course, just bananas, making it dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and nut-free which is an added bonus.
