This Berry Chocolate Protein Smoothie provides such an energy boost! Whether you’re looking to fuel a workout or jumpstart your day, it’s sweet, filling, packed with fruit, and so easy to whip up!
I love the combo of berries and chocolate, and an easy hack is simply adding a bit of hot cocoa mix into a smoothie for a bit of dessert-y flavor!
INGREDIENT NOTES:
Fresh Raspberries: Raspberries provide the berry flavor. I used fresh, but frozen would work just as well! (Extra frozen ingredients might make the smoothie too hard to blend, so try thawing them a bit first.)
Whole Milk Plain Greek Yogurt: A whole milk greek yogurt adds a nice amount of thickness and creaminess, along with some protein!
Frozen Bananas: Frozen bananas are a must in this smoothie because of their sweetness and creamy texture.
Hot Cocoa Mix: The hot cocoa mix adds sweetness along with all of the chocolate flavor! Should you need to make your own, the one that I used was just a combination of sugar, cocoa powder, and salt!
Water: This was the liquid that I had on hand, but feel free to experiment with other liquid ingredients.
